This course examines the portrayal of women's identity in 西班牙 as well as in 西班牙语 literature and film from the 20th century until today. 除了 to acquiring knowledge about women's identity in 西班牙 students will gain a better understanding of 西班牙语 literature and cinema, while simultaneously broadening their knowledge of 西班牙语 language.

To better understand 西班牙语 women today, students will examine the major historical events of the 20th century and their effects on women's lives. This course will analyze depictions of 西班牙语 femininity and the stereotypes created, 或挑战, by these depictions. Students will learn to apply different feminist theories to the content they are reading and viewing. This course will take place over three blocks, each examining different eras of 西班牙语 culture and the role of the 西班牙语 woman in each of them.

The class will be conducted entirely in 西班牙语, and students will learn specific terminology and academic language. 除了, they will practice and improve their writing, 听, and oral expression skills in 西班牙语.
